Your Mother!

     I truly hope this is not your first time to visit my blog!  If it is please take a moment to look around.  I assure you this is not one of my typical cards!
     I'm continuing to make cards for Hope You Can Cling To on SCS for breast cancer patients.  The challenge for this card is to use humor and a lot of white space.  Mission accomplished!
     Your Mother was paper pieced with Basic Grey paper.  The stamps are from Eat Cake Graphics.  I cut a frame using nesties.  She wears flower bling on your sweater and even has a beauty mark....from years gone by!
     Your Mother will also be seen at Simon Says Stamp where anything goes and Mark's Finest Papers where you are to use scrap pieces.  I save scraps just for this technique.  On more challenge is Aud Sentiments to make someone laugh.

Happy Birthday

     Have you ever made a card that you just don't want to mail?  Be honest.....I know you have!  Well, this is one of those cards for me.  It was so fun to make.  Actually I had to make a couple of them.

     The inside read, "From your favorite couple."  Even though these two are cartoon type characters they somewhat look like my husband and me.  I said, "somewhat!"  He is tall and skinny and I am short but not that plump! 

     I used colored pencils and OMS for these sweethearts.  They can be found at Eat Cake Graphics.  The wording is from JustRite.  Paper is by Cosmo Cricket.
