With today's card I want to bring encouragement with a different view of cancer.
I was given this sentiment during my husband's fight with cancer. It was a blessing. I kept it in my Bible and would share it as needed with others.
I was happy to find this sentiment in a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I received an email this week that someone has purchased CHF and will reopen this month.
The paper is My Mind's Eye. Scraps were used to make the background.
Today is the anniversary of my step-daughter's death. Tomorrow will be the anniversary of my husband's death. They are the reason I'm making cards for Hope You Can Cling To with SCS.
I'm entering my card with Mark's Finest Papers where the challenge is to use scraps.

More Friends
More friends have arrived! I wanted to show this card before summer ends. I'm going to miss the fresh blueberries.
I'll have to move on to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm such a procrastinator. It will be a challenge for me to begin making holiday cards early.
I mean it's like putting up your Christmas tree before Thanksgiving! Horrors! That's just not right!
Back to the card..... Copics for coloring and Memory Box papers. I used a Mojo sketch from May. The stamp is from CHF but no longer available.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Friend
Hello friends!
I hope this card reminds you of a special friend.
It does me. I have this one friend who laughs with me or cries with me. More importantly she prays for me. She has a laugh that is contagious and makes the best chocolate chip cookies ever! I hope she notices the ladybug on the leaves.
I wanted this CAS (clean and simple). The unique bracket cut at the bottom of the card came from a tutorial by Debbie Olson. I wish I could be a fly on her wall when she is creating!

Fishing
Doesn't this scene look like the best fishing hole ever? I wonder what type of bait he is using. I don't mind worms but crickets are another story!
The caption says, "If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles." So true!
The image and words are from Thomas Kinkade. These stamps are no longer available since CHF closed their doors.
I stamped the image first then sprayed with Glimmer Mists. Wish you could see the glimmer! It gives the trees a bit of texture. You want to touch them! I distressed the frame, added some hardware and attached it to cork paper. It's quite manly!
