Thinking of You

     Hi creative friends!  I had great plans last week of creating tons of cards.  My husband went camping with his brothers for 4 nights and 5 days.  You know what that means ladies....freedom!  No cooking, etc!
     I go in my small stamp room and suddenly it gets smaller with a couple of dogs at my feet!  I think they just wanted to foil my plans.  Remember I have an 8 month old puppy who is still not 100% house broken.  It was at that time I started to miss my husband.....and cooking.
     This card was for a sketch challenge but I didn't make it on time.  I wonder why?  By the way, this was the only card I made while hubby was camping. 
     The bird stamp is by JustRite.  The sentiment is Verve.  Patterned paper is Webster's Pages.  The red branches are Spellbinders.
     Thanks for letting me vent.  I feel better now.  Anyone want a couple of dogs for the weekend?

Green At Heart

     We received rain last night!!  Thank you Lord for answer to that prayer!  It was 115 degrees yesterday! 
     Today's card is sketch challenge for Basic Grey.  The patterned paper is Green At Heart from Basic Grey.  The solid cardstock is Memory Box.
     I colored and airbrushed with Copics.  A Sizzix embossing folder was used for the background.  Punches are Martha Stewart (I've made her a rich woman).  Flower soft was used on the flowers.  Viva pearl pen made up the faux pearls on the butterfly and flowers.
     The stamp is JustRite and was popped up with foam dots.
     Little birdie will be entered at Basic Grey challenge and Stampin Sisters in Christ.

Holly Jolly Christmas

     I have the bragging rights of being the first winner of the sketch challenge with Scrapbooker's Paradise.  They asked that I play along with this month's sketch.

     I just can't turn down a good sketch challenge after winning bragging rights so here is my take.

     I used the JustRite Cardinal with Basic Grey paper.  This is the first time I've airbrushed rhinestones.  I was a bit skeptic but it worked like a charm!

JustRite Bird

    Here it is a couple of days after World Card Making Day and I'm still deep in creating!  My stamp room looks like a tornado went through it! 
     Today's card is a sketch challenge for the Classroom.  The Classroom is the brainchild of Ellen Hutson.  She has several wonderful artist who teach different ways to use products sold in her store. 
     My card features JustRite stamps called Backyard Birds.  It is colored in Copics but the shading is pencil with oms.  I used Flower Soft on the flowers.  The felt stem is from Prima. The paper is Basic Grey.
    

Heaven and Nature Sing

     I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Our weather finally feels like fall.  It was a good day to take my dogs for a walk.
     My card today celebrates Christmas.  When I saw this paper from Memory Box I knew I would use these stamps from JustRite.
     I colored directly on the paper to take advantage of the snowflakes.  It just adds a festive touch to the birdhouse.  
     The embossing powder is Hollyberry Red Gold from Mother Rubber.  It matched the paper perfectly.  Mother Rubber has some beautiful & unique powders.
     The trees are fabric.  They were in my Christmas stash so I don't remember where they were purchased.  The holly is a Martha Stewart punch.
     The center is popped up with foam dots.  Diamond glaze was used on the bird and leaves.  Diamond dust gave a touch of snow.  It looks nice in person.  Sometimes it comes across as the mumps in a picture!!
     I'm entering my card in the JustRite sketch challenge.  You'll be happy to know I didn't drive myself crazy on this sketch.  I was proud!  It will also be entered in Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday celebration challenge.

Happy Birthday

     Have you ever made a card that you just don't want to mail?  Be honest.....I know you have!  Well, this is one of those cards for me.  It was so fun to make.  Actually I had to make a couple of them.

     The inside read, "From your favorite couple."  Even though these two are cartoon type characters they somewhat look like my husband and me.  I said, "somewhat!"  He is tall and skinny and I am short but not that plump! 

     I used colored pencils and OMS for these sweethearts.  They can be found at Eat Cake Graphics.  The wording is from JustRite.  Paper is by Cosmo Cricket.
