Hugs and Prayers

Hi friends!  It's been awhile since my last post.  I recently had an injection in the spine to hopefully help ease my chronic pain.  Unfortunately it had the opposite reaction and made things worse!  So understandably stamping hasn't been happening.
Today, however, I have my first ever no-line coloring! Yeah for me!

Linda Carson, Taylored Expressions
I really admire those who use this technique regularly.  I have tried before but the image I chose was too difficult.
This image is called Bloomin' Background by Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment and die are Hero Arts.
I stamped the image with Memento Angel Pink and used only 6 Copic markers.  I may try this again using all violet.  Although the card can stand alone I added some sequins.  Can't help myself!
Thanks for visiting!  Until next time, stamp on, color on and create something beautiful!!

Feel Better Soon

Good Monday all!  It's a miracle that I'm posting cards two days in a row!  I'm so proud!

Linda Carson, Altenew

Today's card features the Bamboo Rose set from Altenew.  I love these scribble flowers and butterflies.
I had fun water coloring these images using Zigs.   It was freeing to add light colors with a touch of dark and not worry about perfection or placement.  More practice with Zigs is obvious though.
I had some sticky vellum so it was used for the sentiment.  It also covered up a flaw.  Shocking I know!
The frame is a die from MFT.  Sequins have become my current go to embellishments.
Thanks for visiting and taking time to comment.  Hope you have a beautiful day!

Doggie

Hi friends!  I'm back with another masterpiece.  At least it's a fun masterpiece since I'm a dog person.

Linda Carson, MFT

These cute images are from My Favorite Things, You Make My Tail Wag.    I did add a couple of balls to go with his stick.
One of my dogs loves to play ball and the other could care less.  She'd rather be chewing on a dog bone.  She's a good watch dog though.
All die cuts are also MFT.  The clouds were made using a Memory Box stencil.  I used embossing paste to make them fluffy.  The sky was airbrushed.
Really appreciate your visit!  Have a creative week!

Hello

Hello friends!  Hope you're doing well and your mojo is flowing!  My mojo is just so so.
Have you ever worked on a card forever that you're not for sure if you like it or not?  That's how I would describe this card.

Linda Carson, Mama Elephant

My problem is that it's one of my first water colored tries using Zig Clean Color Real WaterColor Brush Pens.  Could they make the name any longer?  Geez!
I see lots of practice in my future.  The colors are intense and a little goes a long way.  Those YouTube videos make it look so easy!
The stamp is Botanic Hello by Mama Elephant.  It includes the stitched lines above and below the image.
Hopefully the next time I post this image there'll be vast improvement.
Thanks for dropping by! Crafters are the best!

Psalm 118:24

Hello!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend.  It's a gorgeous day here.  I've chosen to watch the Masters golf tournament.  I use to play a lot of golf and was a legend in my own mind!!  Good times!
Today's card is a CASE by Melissa Bickford on Instagram.
Linda Carson, Honeybee
I really like the look of making your own background.  You can find this image in the Zen Floral set by Honey Bee Stamps.
The sentiment and Lord die cut are from Papertrey Ink.  As you can see I raised the die in layers.  Love that look.
Clear sequins enhance the center of the flowers.
Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for visiting!!

Miracles

Hi friends!  Hope all is well with you on this first day of April.  It's such a beautiful time of the year.
Today's card is super simple since I didn't color a thing.  It's all embossing.
Linda Carson, SSS
This set is from Simon Says Stamp, Look For The Miracles.  I'm sure you'll be seeing it again because I love it!  I mean who doesn't need a miracle from time to time!  I'm praying for my own from chronic pain.
I did have to fussy cut the florals and leaves.  There are rhinestones and sequins for embellishments.  The tag die is MFT.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and don't let anyone fool you today!!

Honeybears

Hi friends!  Thanks for stopping by!  Wanted to share this adorable Honeybear stamp by Stamping Bella.
Linda Carson, Stamping Bella

I like this sentiment by Winnie the Pooh about a friend.  It is popped up with foam dots.  The patterned papers are from some older Webster's Pages.
The layout is for a sketch challenge at Stamping Bella.  It's too late to share the link for you to enter but Stamping Bella has a weekly challenge on Fridays.  You can find it on their blog.
I left the card embellishment free.  Glossy accent was used on the bee hive, bees and bear paws.  Dies used are from MFT.
Not for sure why the paw pads look white unless it's the glossy accents vs. camera lighting!  Go figure!
