Card and Ice Cream Cake

Happy Friday!  You'll be so glad you stopped by today.  Not only do I have a  lovely patriotic card  but I also have a recipe for Ice Cream Cake just in time for your 4th celebration!
Let's get the card out of the way first.  The stamp is Karen Lockhart.  Papers are Memory Box and my stash.  Large stars are Sizzix die cut.
Now on to the good stuff.  I got this recipe from my best friend Janey.  I've made it many times.  It is quick, easy and delicious.

                   Ice Cream Cake

1 box ice cream sandwiches
Small Cool Whip
Caramel ice cream topping
Chocolate syrup
Pecans (chopped)
Bits O Brickle (This is toffee.  You'll find it next to the chocolate chips.)

Lay sandwiches side by side in a 9X13 dish.  Drizzle Caramel topping and Chocolate syrup over sandwiches.  Next sprinkle pecans and Bits O Brickle. Top with Cool Whip.  I add more pecans and brickle over the Cool Whip.  Freeze.
When you're ready to serve drizzle more chocolate syrup on top and cut it like a regular cake.

My card will be entered in the following challenges for the red, white & blue or summer theme:  Ribbon Carousel, Off The Wall Craftiness, Craft us Crazy, Stamptacular Sunday, Penny's Paper-Crafty and Really Reasonable Ribbon.
We're having company next week so I'll wish you a happy and safe July 4th!
