My favorite thing about summertime is the fresh fruits and veggies. My grandparents always had a huge garden with plenty of tomatoes. While grandma was canning I sat in the living room with a basket of tomatoes, a salt shaker and watched The Price Is Right. She would stop to watch As The World Turns. Good times! There's nothing better than a homegrown tomato.
Today's card features two stamp sets by Flourishes, Italian Garden and Seeds of Friendship. Papers are by Webster's Pages.

Stunning - beautiful coloring!
ReplyDeleteTerrific coloring, love the papers, perfect for the theme of the card, like the frayed fabric too!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What wonderful coloring! Great card, Linda! Your recollections take me back to sultry summer days in Missouri. Mom would be canning in the kitchen (I can now feel how miserable she must have been in there without air conditioning)while I watched game shows in the livingroom. I'd want to help her, but the most she'd let me do is stir whatever was on the stove. I remember how long it took to cook down the tomatoes.
