Hello again! I hope you enjoyed your long weekend as we paid tribute to those who died for our freedoms. Today Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs we have a couple of inspirational photos for this week's challenge.
Here are the inspirational photos.I focused entirely on the lilacs that you see on the tables in the second picture. I have this lovely ODBD Lilac image and beautiful lilac papers from the Blooming Garden Collection so that became my inspiration. The Vintage Flourish Pattern die was used on the lilacs. I finished it with an airbrush and a double bow.
You'll want to see how the other ladies on the design team found their inspiration.
To see the rules and enter the challenge click here. You have until Sunday, June 1st to enter.
Hope you'll create with us this week! Have a delightful day!

Oh, Linda, your card is exquisite, and I love the layout with the ODBD papers and your beautifully colored lilac!! Just love them but can't grow them here in South Florida! Yes, it was a long "holiday" weekend, but it is always a special time to remember the many, many brave people who gave their lives for our freedoms! So many families still suffer the loss of their loved ones, and to them we owe a debt of gratitude! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us! Hugs, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteOh, very lovely lilac!! Your paper is perfect for this gorgeous image!!

Love your lilac card! I especially like what you did with your background. That idea is going in my inspiration folder! Hope you have a blessed day.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! LOVE the wonderful paper with your perfectly colored lilacs!! Blessings!!
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous! And on top of that one of my favorite flowers. Ben always planted a lilac bush for me everywhere we lived - also Jonquils. Their smell always made me think of home.

ReplyDeleteOne word -- WOW! Well, maybe just a few others... Your coloring is so beautiful and I love the lilac paper and all the purple in general. Lovely framing of the image with the way you've pieced the papers together. This is so gorgeous I do believe I'm catching the scent of lilacs!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is just elegant - you may have gone with the lilacs but the entire card is just as classy and elegant as the room. And I just love that thin matting you have in the center. Gorgeous card!

Lilacs are a favorite--something I shared with my mom. Your card is just beautiful, Linda! I can see I picked the wrong shade of lilac ink for my card--need my computer screen at my table--LOL!
