Hi friends! I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It's now time to turn all of our attention to Christmas. Our biweekly challenge at Shining the Light with Our Daily Bread Designs is to make a Christmas card using ODBD stamps only.
My Christmas card was made easy using the Christmas Collection 2014 papers. First I fussy cut the top corner to fit the card, added a sentiment from His Birth and the beautiful star from Snowflake Stars. The star was die cut using Splendorous Stars die.
This wasn't the original card I had in mind to show you. I was sick over Thanksgiving and gotten behind creating. I had another card until I....are you ready for this.....stamped the sentiment upside down!! In all my years of stamping I have never stamped a sentiment upside down!
Since I had to start all over I turned to these beautiful papers and let them do the job for me. It's clean, simple, easy to mail and lovely. I plan to try my original card again with different results!

I love this sentiment! Beautiful card! I feel for you on the upside down sentiment - can't believe you haven't done it before! :) Hope you are feeling better; these changes in weather can't be fun. Prayers for you! Wish I was nearby to drop off some egg drop soup from Taipei for you!

Oh, Linda, what a beautiful card, and I love how you've really showcased this beautiful DP! Beautiful sentiment indeed (and I've done things like this myself...and even dropped an inked stamp on top of a DP that I hope to use in the future by covering it up...hehe!). But, in the end, as God allows, you've made another lovely card! I love how the wonderful star is brilliantly shining over the tree! Stunning, sweet friend! And praying for you!! Warm hugs and love!

Oh Linda, your card is beautiful, even if it isn't the one you originally intended to use. I've done plenty of silly things like that too! I'm sorry you've been sick - I hope you're feeling better. I love how your card showcases the gorgeous DP and the star is the perfect addition! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHa! I had a wood block stamp once that was mounted upside down but I didn't notice it until I stamped it. What a surprise that was! I still have the stamp, actually, but I managed to remount it correctly. Now, you pulled off a gorgeous card in spite of that set back. The star in gold on white is gorgeous!
